Are you certain your umassd.edu account has an IMAP server?
I am assuming here that your host only has AOL and is just using the
proprietary AOL software. Unless they are connected for TCP/IP, you
are going to be out of luck in connecting to AOL and then trying to
use third party Internet software such as OE to connect to your
remote umassd.edu mail server.
We need to get this back to SeeknFind mode here. Let me refer you to
the Unofficial AOL Email FAQ:
"4. Can I use a third-party email program with my AOL email?"
http://members.aol.com/adamkb/aol/mailfaq/#3rd-party
Read over that entire section and hopefully it will give you the
direction to take at this time.
