Yes the e-mail still travels over the Internet.  Juno is just allows you to
dial into their server, download the e-mail off their servers -- which are
connected to the Internet -- and then hangs up on you.  Then when you want
to send mail you dial into their servers, send the mail over the Internet,
then disconnect.  So you're technically connecting to the Internet when
connecting to Juno, however, you can't access any other protocol or POP3
mail.  You can only send & receive any mail with Juno.
