Hi Deborah,
Since I found out about {{#formlink: ...}} and the ability to create
the page name of the page based on fields in the form, I hardly ever
let users choose the name before opening the form. This has some
important advantages to me:
- You can have a field 'name' for the thing the page is about and have
an autocomplete on just about anything (bingo ?!)
- You can add automatic numbering to (part of) the page name.
- It's easier to standardize naming of pages
- You can have information from the page you're on when you want to
create the page in the page name automatically.

Would this be a solution for you as well?
