Hi John,

You're (mostly) right about the problem, but not about the solution:
Composer doesn't need to be disabled to get things working - rather, there
just needs to be some way to tell extensions to exit out immediately when
they're included, which I'm guessing is the much easier approach.

I say "mostly" right because, as noted in the other thread, one existing
option for wiki farms is to simply have multiple installations of the code,
one for each configuration (with SMW, without SMW, etc.). But, as also
noted in the other thread, that very quickly becomes too unwieldy to use.
