Umm...Prelude's have tons of torque.  It's just heavy.  The VTEC doesn't 
kick in quite like the GS-R's and SI's do.  Have you ever ridden in these 
cars or driven them?  LIke you said before, solid motor but bad ratios.  A 
VVTL controller would be good, but I think a better tranny would be better.
