Well you totally missed my point. They are almost completely plastic. They just look cheap to me. My opinion!! And yes I know there is some plastic in all speakers. BTW I have VR525s in the front. JL makes very good speakers. And the VR6x9s they are very nice as well, my bf had them in his old car along with a set of my fronts. Make a nice pair. Expensive but nice. And crossovers well it doesn;t really matter if they are made out of plastic because its not a speaker, neither are parts in a sentra....uh oh. I think my head unit has plastic on it!!!
