Whoa tiger! First of all let me tell you that I give all people the utmost
respect, when I don't get it back then you will not get it anymore. As far
as stopping kids for what they do to their cars is something I don't do. The
officers that write traffic tickets are most likely in that dept's traffic
division. Most officer's in the patrol division's don't write half as many
tickets as traffic. Also in most states the speed limit is absolute and you
can be stopped for going over it by 1 mph. And as a matter of fact many
officers in patrol interact with the community. I am black so don't even go
there with me about being harrassed by cops. I was harrassed many times by
cops before I became one. I became one to try and make a difference by not
doing the very same things that were done to me. The comments you make are
very stereotypical. It's like saying that all blacks steal. That's a bunch
of horse shit! You may deal with dangerous people on your job, but when we
suit up, we don't know if we will be going home at the end of the shift.
Have you ever been shot at? Ever had a gun pulled on you? I have, so don't
tell me about danger. As far as someone stealing my car, oh well that is
what insurance is for. I can't help you have a chip on your shoulder about
cops, but I know that I am very good at what do and I go home every night
knowing I did what was right. Many of the officers that work the streets do
their jobs and do it well. As a matter of fact there were lot of guys/gals
that have hooked up rides and love the import scene. But when those same
kids drag race on the public streets what do you expect us to do? Just my
thoughts.
