I'm also in the Philippines. I was northbound on A. Bonifacio St. last night
when the Civic SiR just happened to be on my 12 o'clock. I could care less
about the clear tails, but he could've used it in a correct manner.
I agree that one should stick to the OEM lights as much as possible. Not
just because they're more durable (and imho, looks better than any
aftermarket lights I've seen around), but mainly because they're *THE*
standard. We all know that car manufacturer must comply to certian standards
committees to be able to sell their cars... these OEM lights were the
product of such compliance. So if you change certain things on your car,
it's possible to eventually render the car out of spec and end up being a
time bomb on the streets (no pun intended).
Again, I'm not against anyone who uses clear tails. Just be considerate
enough to know that there might be another bimbo driving behind you. :)
