Sure: many UK hospitals mandate a screen based on a triggering MEWS score.

In our organization, a MEWS trigger was 50% specific and 80% sensitive for 
sepsis. Adding an electronic WCC flag got the sensitivity as compared with both 
+ve blood cultures and missed patients admitted to ITU up to 99%
