Do you include patients who came to your ER as S/P Full arrest resuscitated outside of the hospital that does not even meet criteria for Hyporthermia treatment in your Sepsis mortality count . These are group of patients that either arrested due to respiratory distress from pneumonia or other sources. A study of survival rates from out of the hospital cardiac arrest found that less 15% of those who received resuscitation by EMS survived as far as admission to the hospital half of these 15% died during the first 24 hours.
