You need to give some fluid. I've seen different amounts depending on who's protocol you look at. Some protocols say give 1000 cc's for this range. For the older heart or the bad kidney give in smaller amount and re-evaluate the patient. I can send you our protocol for our Geriatrics unit. Thank you, Amy
