I'm willing to consider this approach. I've turned on GitHub Discussions
in a few of my other repositories, and the experience has been fine. I
agree that at this point, trying to import the discussions no longer seems
like a good idea.

I'm leaning toward supporting both GitHub Discussions and Google Groups,
though having GitHub Discussions be the preferred place. Google Groups can
be interacted with purely through email without any account setup, and
there are some people that favor that. For me, there isn't a problem
answering questions in both places, though I realize that approach can make
it more difficult for other people to follow along with all discussions.

Anyway, I'd definitely appreciate feedback from the community regarding
this.

Thanks,
Jeremy
