i have a question puzzle me ,what does "purge log dump" command do ?

does it clear checkpoint table?
No, it will only remove recovery log entries prior to a particular dump.
If the dump does not exist or does not have a valid entry in the dump
table, it will not do anything.
when i do it ,nothing happened to my table:
?
>show checkpoints
The checkpoint table is only used internally by Sequoia, you don't have
to deal with checkpoint.
