JDBC mailstore classes can write the body of the message into the file rep, as discussed before.

Isn't this the same as using dbfile repositories in current james?

My version is designed for speed, simplicity and extensive error handling.

I'm interested expecially in the extensive error handling changes.
If I understood your points the speed/memory usage should be the same of the current trunk after the changes I'm working on.

Also I should be able to fix every problem in a reasonable time, so a dependency like phoenix was not an option.

Did you removed avalon or you simply created your own "embedded avalon container" ?
