This is exactly what I intended with my sentence! I'm happy I'm on the
right way!
So I will keep this issue for later: it is not related to the message
storage itself. Maybe this is related to the "unique repository
identifier" we discussed 2 years ago: once we'll have introduced an
unique identifier for repositories it will be easier to store repository
refences in user profiles.
I think we should start a Wiki-Page for collecting requirements.
