http://java.sun.com/docs/hotspot/gc/index.html ...which discusses the tuning of GC using Sun's JVMs. It really needs updating to cover the new options available in the 1.4.x JVMs, but its useful nonetheless. Same goes for this series of three articles covering IBM's JVMs... http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/ibm/library/i-garbage1/ ...whereas this... http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/ibm/library/i-gctroub/ ... covers IBM's 1.4.x JVMs. If you try James with different JVMs I would be very interested in your experiences.
