I am all for support and user groups and understand the automated nature of an e-mail program such as the one you are using for JAMES and the other Apache products but I was curious as to whether a parallel newsgroup might be available to post questions to and get responses from? Or a Forum format such as MSN or Yahoo groups or on your own server(s) something like Phorum ( http://phorum.org/ )? James has NNTP built in so one would think you would be able to offer your own NNTP server. Just curious. I apologize if the answer to these questions is available elsewhere, but I could not find them.
Gregory,
The address you used is typically only for people having trouble subscribing/unsubscribing.
Generally though, the ASF communities have found email to be the most widely adopted way of communicating. I believe there are some sites that host NNTP implementations of the ASF mailing lists, but I don't know them off-hand.
