I wrote a note earlier about a problem I was having upgrading to 2.2.0. I am trying to install on a different machine than my current 2.1.3. This machine is an NT4 SP6. What I have found is that the sar doesn't extract completely. For example, the var directory is missing. I missed this the first time around, but I wiped the entire install and tried again.
At this point I have also removed the jvm and installed 1.4.2_04. Unpacking the SAR does work on my Win2K workstation. I copied that (config file unmodified, straight out of the box) over to the NT machine. Tried 'run' again and I still get the exception. Finally, I went back and grabbed 2.2.0RC1. That unpacks fine and starts up on the NT box. Any ideas?
