This message is from the fetchmail logs, right? What version of James? Have you verified that the other elemnts of James are correctly configured by sending a local mail (e.g. a mail to yourself)? This doesn't go near fetchmail. If you have problems here you will need to resolve them first. Is any mail fetched or do all mails fail?
