First of all, run a "cmd" shell session, and execute "run.bat" from the shell session
instead of "double click". You will see the stdout and will be easier to diagnose the
problem.

Asunto: James Server Disappears After Starting It

        I have the Windows-XP. My JAVA_HOME=C:\j2sdk1.4.2

        1. I downloaded both james-2.2.0.zip and
        james-with-phoenix-2.2.0-src.zip files from
        http://james.apache.org/download.cgi
        and saved in my C:\
        2. I unzipped the C:\james-2.2.0.zip
        3. went to the C:\james-2.2.0\bin and run the
"run.bat" script by double clicking on it.
        4. copied james.sar to the C:\phoenix-bin\apps
        directory

when I double clicked on the run.bat in the
        C:\james-2.2.0\bin or the C:\phoenix-bin\apps
directories, the server window pops up. I could see

          Using PHOENIX_HOME: F:\dev\james-2.1\james-2.1
          Using PHOENIX_TMPDIR:
        F:\dev\james-2.1\james-2.1\temp
          Using JAVA_HOME: F:\system\jdk\1.4.2

          Phoenix 4.0.1

        but, I do not see

          James 2.2
          Remote Manager Service started plain:4555
          POP3 Service started plain:110
          SMTP Service started plain:25
          NNTP Service Disabled
          Fetch POP Disabled

instead, I see lots of other things in the server
window. Then, the server window disappears from my PC
        screen.

        Could someone help?
