This cannot be an issue with James. If you can reach james using the IP then james is configured correctly. The problem is in your domain name configuration. BTW I just tryed the following commands: telnet falcondesign.co.uk 25 telnet falcondesign.co.uk 110 and it worked fine (i receive the pop3 and smtp welcome message from james). You probably tested your system after changing your domain IN A and IN MX records and before the full DNS updated was correctly propagated.
