Go forward.  1.6 has nice features the developers will enjoy.  I can't
think of a good reason why anyone would still be using something as
old as 1.5 and, as a developer, I would never wish to go back to 1.4.
Staying there is a BIG disincentive for new developers to join the
ranks.
