Jerry,
if you download a svn client, you can just do:
svn co http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/james/server/trunk james
and all the code will download directly to the directory named "james".

see each file. But I would really like to get the entire source on my
local drive so i can use my familiar search/grep tools to browse and
find things in the code. I really don't care if it's the latest b5 or

On the download page

2.3.2-src.zip is 10MB and contains java code and everything. The
3.0-beta4-source-release.zip is 176KB and contains NO java files. Not
sure how that file can qualify as a source zip. Isn't there some way I
can get a downloadable zip of the source that contains the java files?

The code there is v3b5, but, as I stated in my previous mail, you
should be using that one to avoid IMAP related issues.
