I know Toufic tunes into this list. And, of course I was involved in UDDI v2 and v3.

I would definitely make some changes if we were starting from scratch. I also think that folks providing registries should provide alternative APIs, including RESTful ones. But they still need to maintain the SOAP API. After all -- your goal should be to support as many potential requestors as possible.

I can't help but wondering whether the people who originally designed
UDDI (any of them around here?) would do it the same way today. REST
and HTTP seem to be much more accepted within the WS community than
they were back then ...
