Implementing the RMI programming model with the latest RMI release (back
in 2003), in order for an object on the server to be invoked, the object
must first export itself as a resource (protocol accepted at its
endpoint, interface, etc) on the network. The plumbing is different but,
this conforms to the RESTful pattern as I understand it.

Didn't my response to you on Mar 28 not answer that question to
your
satisfaction? Steve seemed to get it, even if he didn't agree
with
the implications.
