I'm not sure that both concepts can be compared. A business process (in an
end-to-end scenario) is the internal view on value-creation. The outside
view is the service offered to the customer. The customer consumes the
services, but is usually not interested how the service value is created. So
I think service and business process belong together, even though not every
service must be provided by a business process.
