Bummer that the rivet/welding analogy has strayed from an example 
of "technology that has an impact at the highest design levels" to 
something used to deride IT in general. I know those are tongue-in-
cheek comments but seem to be examples of a prevailing negative 
attitude toward IT, which is disheartening.
