I'd say it the other way...  Buying and using business market platforms are 
keeping you from using all the flexible and empowering open source software. 
You feel like you need to have the "instant" support from a vendor and be able 
to "manage" your risks through their support "services".  But, in the end, I 
don't believe that there is any real relief there.  Maybe someone on the list 
has stories where a vendor fixed their problem in 1 hour (my typical response) 
vs the 1 day that I've experienced with my customers interactions with their 
other "large" vendors?
