This patch should be done in the following repository:

  http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk7/hotspot-svc/hotspot

That's what we thought as well, but that forest had not been kept up to
date.
But I now see that it has been recently updated.
Is that due to a recent change in procedure?

John Coomes periodically updates all the non-HotSpot repos in
the different forests that the HotSpot teams use. I think he
has been trying to do this once a week.

We started out trying to use hotspot-svc, but it failed to build.
We checked http://hg.openjdk.java.net/ and it said it had
not been updated for 4 months, IIRC.
It builds fine for me. If you provide more information we can take a look at it.

This log shows it was updated 18hours ago. And it looks correct me.

Certainly we can push this change to hotspot-svc.
I doubt there is concurrent ongoing work in PermStat.java.

Agreed, but the change should come up through the Serviceability
teams sub-baseline unless it is an urgent change.

I'm hoping that's a synonym for jdk7/hotspot-svc-gate/hotspot
Who is the hotspot-svc gatekeeper?

That would still be me.

Thanks.

You'll be seeing a commit from me soon-ish.

Martin
