In my last job we had an evaluation copy of JavaOS; I ported it to a SPARC
laptop and then wrote drivers for the PCMCIA sockets and PCMCIA disk drives,
along with a simple VFAT file system (all in Java) which enabled me to run the
old Jeeves A2 alpha version of JWS under JavaOS!
Mad or what ... ? Anyway it was fun. Just an aside.
