Servlet and Servlets in JSDK2.1!

Hi,

Who can tell me why in the following, one is "servlets"and the other is
"servlet"?
I know "servlets" is a directory path for "index.html".

Problem????But why use "servlet" for the servlets?

http://localhost:8080/examples/servlets/
http://localhost:8080/examples/servlet/HelloWorldExample
