Hi,
the problem is - that sun in their materials using so called servletrunner
as a engine
for runnig the servlets. But file so called servletrunner isn't in any
directory, because 
with startserver.bat u starting the server which that servletrunner
implemented. Then just runnig your browser and type http://localhost:8080
(using the proxy must be unchecked in your browser option !!!!!!).
