Yup, but if you are using Oracle, remember to rename the 816classes12.zip
file to 816classes12.jar if you put it in the extension directory since the
extension mechanism only picks up jar files.

That's not a bug, that's a new feature of the Java2 environment called
the Java Extension Mechanism. It's job is to make setting up your
system easier. Since you no longer have to set up the classpath.

I found the solution to the problem, its a BUG. You have
to move the
JSDK.JAR file into the c:\jdk1.2.2\jre\lib\ext\
directory which forces
the compiler to see the jar files. Hmmmmm
Nothing is ever simple.
