Session Tracking problem

Dear all
I wrote a session tracking code servlet and use applet as the client.
I tested the applet on netcape 4.6 and on appleviewer
It works on netcape 4.6 but it doesn't work on appleviewer. On applet
viewer, it basically open a new section everytime.
Anyone encounter the same problem??
