Greetings,

Could someone share some information about how does a servlet
application scale on multiple servers with thousands of users?

I'm interested in what kind of load balancing you do, how it works with
session management (Cisco, F5 and others supposedly make session-aware
load balancers), what issues to look for. What failover techniques do
you employ? What is the achievable up time (in %)? What security risks
have you run into? How expensive (performance wise) is it to have SSL
communication going? Is it better to have SSL only for the sensitive
stuff or is it OK for the whole application?

Any input at all that you may have will be greatly appreciated. I'm
just venturing into this big world and it looks intimidating.

Thanks,
dave.
