I don't know the answer to your question.

It looks like you're eyeing this big black box of wonders that everybody is
oohing and ahhhing about and you like it and just want to cram it into your
microwave.

I would advise you to read what XML is used for and then decide whether you
need it or not.  Chances are you don't (80%).  And if you do, be prepared to
rearchitecture your application.  XML is great but it takes great effort to
implement it.
