"Back" button in Browser reloads page

This si a little off-topic, but I was wondering whether somebody could help
me.  I noticed recently that in the application that i am working on, the
"Back" button in the Browser reloads my page.  I would prefer this not to
happen, because the page takes sometime to laod.  Any ideas on what is going
on?
