Ok here is the dirt! Ideally whenever you try to use any jar or package in
java ..do not try to just install it and run it.. Java uses a lot of
CLASSPATH! So you will need to put all the packages you use in the
classpath of your system.

But most developers dont do that.. what we do is use the class path when
you compile as well as run..

i.e is use

javac  -classpath C:\JSDK2.0...blah blah.. ()
or/and

java -cp C:\......


(If you want to use a directory which has extracted files.. you need to
give only the directory ..but if using a jar you need to give the full name
of the jar.

I think u have not put servlets.jar in ur CLASSPATH try doing so?
