You have to configure your DSN with remote database depending upon the type of
the database and at application level you just have to use the DSN name like
jdbc:odbc:DSN_name
If you r intended to use Thin database specific drivers, then you can access
Remote database by specifying the IP and port in the jdbcURL String (URL string
is driver specific). (if database is not behind the firewall).
