The method response.sendRedirect(someURL) does what is says... it sends a
response to the client redirecting it to the specified URL.

RequestDispatcher.forward(someURL) does *not* redirect.  It forwards the
request and response objects directly to another resource within the servlet
context, without a round trip to the client.
