I am not agreed with the point of view :

I think when Servlets API 2.3 will be implemented in Servlet Engines, all
the platform will support JDK 1.3 and perhaps JDK 1.4 !!
Linux, BSD, AIX and MAC etc .. and I hope BEOS will be in the same train of
JDK ..
Because this train is a TGV, and it is easy to be fast with Java ....
