Hello,
Perhaps a brief explanation of Frank's comments, for those who do not understand
American wit and sarcasm very well, is in order. First of all Frank's company will
have billed $$MILLIONS for work done for Wall Street customers, work that is
completed in a mere 3 months with the Java platform, instead of 1 year for C++ and 2+
years for legacy languages like COBOL or C. Therefore he's making millions in only
25% of the time it would have taken just a few years earlier. This is an unequivocal
APPROVAL of Java, for those who missed the meaning. As for the other thing Frank
writes, I have to admit I missed that one at first - "C# is Going to Bb" - Now I get
it -- (M$ product) C# is going to Be Flat! (amen!).
A straight forward Americanized translation might be - C# SUCKS!!! JAVA RULES!!!
david hall
p.s. - excuse the off-subject, but it seemed to me some folks really just didn't get
it...
