You can use free XML editor such as :
XMLNotepad from Microsoft
or BEA XML Editor (100 % Java)
Visit the corresponding sites from download.

Note : XMLSpy is more than a tool is an XML IDE
You can have it for evaluation. A reference in matter of XML.
