If that is the case then don't give domain name there just give relative or virtual 
URL.

no, i have a server and a registered domain at this server. at home in my
browser i call this servlet. this servlet is called
http://www.asdfg.com/servlet/helloWorld (this is just an abritrary url not
the real one.) and servlet needs to know http://www.asdfg.com so it can
write this in the action part of the form which is included in this servlet.
