I noticed in my migration from 2.0.5 to 2.1.1 that the workflow that was associated with folderish types had been reset to Plone's default. See this bug: http://plone.org/collector/4903 If this is your problem as well, go to ZMI > portal_workflow > Workflows and reassign your custom workflow to your folderish types the way they were in your 2.0.5 situation.
