With a brand new plone install, and this time installing and following the
simplon.plone.ldap instructions, I now have the opposite problem(!) ...
logged in as admin, I can enumerate all LDAP users and groups ... but I
cannot authenticate as a non-admin user.  Actually, I think it -is-
authenticating, but its immediately throwing me back to the log in screen,
with no on screen errors and nothing in the zope/plone logs.  This is
killing me!
