plonectl (a convenience script installed by the Unified Installer) may
be confused by the fg, since it thinks of it as a client command.

bin/zeoserver fg

should start the zeo server in foreground mode. The zeo server is not
very talkative, and if it's locking because it can't read the data.fs,
you may not see much. Still, it's a good thing to try.
