i agree with bill. i love grunge (saw mudhoney as recently as october, PJ
twice in september, own quite the SG collection, wish layne staley would stay
straight long enough for one more AIC tour) and tend to think that those who
are ashamed of having liked it are still young and maybe don't have the
perspective yet to realize that musical styles, like fashion, come in
waves...just like shoes and haircuts....there's nothing to be ashamed of...ppl
shouldn't worry about looking uncool because they used to (or even still) like
something from the past.

i second that. and the soundtrack is pretty great too. :-)
speaking of docs of the seattle scene (sorry that this is off-topic), has
anyone else seen "kurt and courtney?"
i had a few problems with broomfield's lack of thoroughness (why did he not
follow up with il duce when he said he knew who killed kurt instead of
interrupting him with stupid questions? and why did he not even address the
fact that he didn't get dave or krist to participate?), but from an editorial
pov, i definitely walked away feeling like courtney is an evil lady macbeth
who will do whatever she needs to do to get what she wants. unlike that
private investigator and her father, i do not believe that she murdered kurt,
but i wouldn't be surprised if she would not let him out of the marriage when
he wanted to go and helped drive him to the suicide.
just my 2 cents on a cold sunday in dc--opinions?
