Oh my God...what a stupid fucking movie.
Inane, direction-less and expoitative. The only thing that made it
worth the rent is when the producer (I repressed his name...) charged
onstage at the ACLU's gala dinner and bagged on Courtney Love's
association with them as hypocritcal. He was whisked away quickly. Ha!
Some much for free speech!
Yeah...she sure seems like a bitch...but I didn't need to sit through
two hours of interviews with the Northwest's biggest
zit-faced-crystal-fiends to gather that.
How ironic that the producer has an uncanny resemblance to Oliver
Stone. I almost shut it off and ejected the tape when he found it
necessary to barge into the Washington state lottery building carrying
his stupic mic boom with cameras rolling ('a la Diane Sawyer) because
Kurt used to live across the street and throw rocks at their building.
Please...
The one thing that did move me however was hearing the haunting tape of
a three year old Kurt talking to "Boddah" his imaginary friend whom he
later refers to in his "suicide" note. Spooky.
I didn't mean to turn this into a Kurt Cobain thread but don't bother
renting it. If you really MUST see beloved Courtney on film, rent "Sid
and Nancy." She plays Nancy's roomate.
Here's the actual script to that movie:
SID: Nancy! Go get me more eroin! (sic)
NANCY: Fuck you Sid!
SID: FUCK YOU NANCY!
NANCY: (Sobbing) I LOVE YOU SI-I-I-D!
SID: FUCK YOU NANCY!
NANCY: (Just like Lucille Ball) WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
THE END
