Hi, I worked on this recently. Putting the phone on/off hold reset the RTP stack and thus RTP timestamps. Refactoring the RTP thread, I also improved reactivity to packet reception/sending. You may want to give it a try, it is currently available on the nightly-build.
If this do not fix the issue, it may be due to a false media port negotiation during SDP. We would need you to provide a full SIP and RTP packets trace. For the whole call (including initialization of the call and putting it on/off hold). I hadn't thought of putting my phone on/off hold, but my system is also having this problem. I call my cellphone via asterisk from sflphone-client-gnome 0.9.8 on my Ubuntu 10.10 system. I can hear myself dialing. My Cellphone rings, I answer and hear nothing on sflphone the end. I turn hold on/off and I can now hear myself. Another thing that can make it work is to simply hit a digit on the sflphone keypad (like the number "1") and it starts working. I'm using the normal version of sflphone from the Ubuntu Repository at the moment, that also seems to mean that if I try to change the "IP Call" under settings, Like to change the local port from 5060 to 5061, it terminates sflphone. I'd try the nightly stuff which usually works pretty well, but evidently there are mixed versions in the nightly repository (snapshot20101029 for sfl-client-gnome and snapshot20101025 for the sflphone-common). I'll try later. _______________________________________________ SFLphone mailing list [email protected] http://lists.savoirfairelinux.net/mailman/listinfo/sflphone _______________________________________________ SFLphone mailing list [email protected] http://lists.savoirfairelinux.net/mailman/listinfo/sflphone
